St. George horeb Jacobite Syrian church (Chennithala Horeb Church) is located in chennithala Village, Thripperumthura panchayath, Mavelikkara thaluk of Alappuzha district in Kerala.  Under the holy apostolic see of Antioch and all the east. Chennithala is a village where Christians and Hindus live together in religious harmony. There are many ancient Hindu temples. Christians of all denominations have their place of worship in Chennithala. Chennithala Horeb church also known as Chennithala Kochupally or Chennithala Puthenpally.

At present the church has 225 member families. The old church could not accommodate all its members. So the construction of a new church is in progress under the leader ship of  Rev. Fr. M. J. Daniel . The civil works of the church is already started and is in the progress. A substantial amount of money is required for the successful completion of this project. Your wholehearted & prayerful participation is solicited for the completion of the project in such a way, which brings adoration to the Holy name of Almighty God.
